The Chidro River

A cold freshwater spring flowing directly into the Ionian Sea.

FROM THE LODGE

About 2 km
Approximately 5 min by car

One of the coast’s most distinctive natural settings

The Chidro is a short spring-fed river whose exceptionally clear, cool water flows into the Ionian Sea at San Pietro in Bevagna.

Its temperature and currents feel very different from the surrounding sea. Visit with care and respect for this fragile natural environment, especially during the busiest summer period.
